Did you know that 8 is a lucky number in China?
I didn’t until my chinese friend Pui Yee went out of her way to find a locker with the number 8 in it. We we’re meeting up in Fitness.dk to do a training session together, and she kept wandering from cabinet to cabinet. Confused that she passed one available locker after the other, I finally asked her, what she was searching for. And the answer was an available 8.
Do you have a lucky number? And if you do, what do you do with it? Do you gamble? Or just secretly smile every time you see the number on a bus, a house or the number of ducks swimming in the lake?
16 have been my lucky number for a long time. (I don’t know if revealing it, will make it loose it’s ‘magic’ btw.) However since my mind and instinct are two different things, it haven’t done me any good last time I visited a casino. It was over 2 years ago, so if you now sitting and thinking ‘all Asians gamble’, don’t believe it’s true. Some of us is only good at martial arts 😉
And – even if I say it’s my lucky number, I wouldn’t care if I lived in number 16th on any given street. I also don’t hunt the 16th locker or wait to be 16 in a line. I just think it’s nice to have a number to call my lucky number.
