At the country side

Life is often good – mostly quiet, but always far away from everything (or so it feels like).

Like – Tuesday my boss from Womens Fitness asked if I could come in Wednesday for two classes and some PT sessions. I actually would have liked to do the classes, but being 1 hour drive away, gas alone would have cost what I get paid for two hours= Not the best argument to get Liam to start the car (or just starting the car all together).
Now this was just one instance of which – had I been closer, it would have been easier to say yes. But just in general – it’s hard to plan job interviews, to look for galleries or nice cafe for my photo exhibition.

However, one thing I’m pretty close to is nature: Yesterday we were out at the beach, body boarding and swimming. (Had about 20 minutes of fun in the water, and after about 2 hours of fun de-frosting). Later that evening, I witness a slug devour a bit of orange and a flock of happy dolphins swimming and jumping by our house. (I assume they were happy… looked happy while jumping and flipping in the water).

Besides swim and body boarding, week offered a bit of everything:

Monday: Kettlebell & Boxercise classes at Womens Fitness
Tuesday: Skipping and Tyrkish Get Ups (16kg). Tried with the bar, but only got ½ up. Next week baby!!
Wednesday: Barefoot beach sprints (10x 100, 10x 50 + 2500m warm up/ normal runs) + Beach style Kettlebell. For some reason I run faster barefoot (on the beach), that I do on the track. Even it rips the skin on my toes, it’s just such a wonderful feeling. Just like being a kid again.. invincible and full of energy. (I actually hurt something in my left leg – so much for being an adult! 😦 )
Thursday: Swim & body boarding
Friday: House cleaning & Internet poetry (blogging 😉 )
Saturday: Tomorrow I have a date with Caitling and a Kettlebell + hopefully, pads at Brucies!!

Sometimes I miss living in Copenhagen: Close to everything – gym, thaiboxing, beach, friends – and I guess opportunities!! But then again, neighbourhood wasn’t that good (no nice spots except for the graveyard!!), apartment boring (ground floor = no view) and my love across the ocean.
On the country side – far away from everything: View is amazing, I live with the Love – and did I mention, we’re far away from everything!!

Life on the countryside can be a pretty one!

Days in the country side has it moments, as the other morning, when we spotted seals of the coast. (We also have dolphins, seagulls and whale-sharks coming by). But for OLympic moments, Blog Updates and the ever so often ‘googling for some answers’ – it’s not a good place to be. Hence my short, short updates and greetings on the blog.

Since my last update – I got a little training down:

Friday: 12K in the hills
